Migration and Europe's post-pandemic economic recovery topped the agenda at talks in Rome on Monday between premier Giorgia Meloni and European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen, according to a statement from Meloni's office.
"Today's meeting, which European affairs minister Raffaele Fitto attended, offered a good opportunity to exchange views ahead of the 9-10 February Special European Council summit with a particular focus on the economy and on migration, said a statement from Meloni's office.
