Assault on the Capitol, Trump pardons about 1,500 defendants
US President Donald Trump has pardoned about 1,500 defendants for the January 6, 2021 assault on the Capitol. It is "a total, complete and unconditional pardon to all other individuals convicted of crimes related to events that occurred at or near the United States Capitol on January 6, 2021," Trump said, also referring to those who they had attacked law enforcement.
