Usa, Congress greenlights provision to avoid shutdown

The US Congress has overwhelmingly approved a stopgap measure to fund the government through December 20 and avoid a shutdown. The Senate passed the text by 78 votes to 18 yesterday evening, shortly after the House approved the same measure by 341 to 82 votes. The provision now goes to President Joe Biden to be signed into law.
