There are 109 hostages still held in the Gaza Strip after being kidnapped in Israel last October 7 during the massacre carried out by Hamas. This was confirmed by Israeli government spokesman David Mencer after the IDF recovered the bodies of six hostages in the Khan Yunis tunnels. It is believed, Mencer explained, that of the 109 hostages in Gaza 36 are dead and 73 still alive.
