December 09, 2024_ President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. of the Philippines has expressed intent to intensify agricultural cooperation with Chile and work more closely with the World Health Organization (WHO) in the post-pandemic period. In separate meetings with Chilean Foreign Minister Alberto van Klaveren and WHO Regional Director for the Western Pacific Dr. Saia Ma’u Piukala, Marcos stressed the importance of strengthening ties between the two nations. The president highlighted the possibility of collaborating in agriculture, particularly in the cultivation and processing of cocoa, which is seen as an increasingly important product.
