November 17, 2024_ Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi concluded his visit to Nigeria, the first by an Indian leader in 17 years, with the aim of strengthening the partnership between the two countries. During his meeting with Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the two leaders discussed cooperation in key sectors such as defense, technology, health and education, and signed several Memorandums of Understanding. Modi also announced the dispatch of 20 tonnes of humanitarian aid to support relief efforts following floods in Nigeria, the Deccan Chronicle reported. Modi's visit is part of a three-nation tour that will continue to Brazil and Guyana, highlighting the importance of India-Africa relations.
