The lawyer of the woman with dual Russian and American citizenship Ksenia Karelina, sentenced in Russia to 12 years in prison for treason, for having donated 50 euros to the charity in support of Ukraine, confirmed to Novaya Gazeta that negotiations are underway for a new exchange of prisoners between the two countries. Exchange that should take place in February, a few weeks after the inauguration of Donald Trump. Karelina was sentenced last August shortly after the prisoner exchange that involved, among others, arms dealer Viktor Bout and, on the Russian side, dissidents Vladimir Kara-Murza and Ilya Yashin.
